After completing my Master’s degree, it was time to move on to community service, which is mandatory for 1 year. Around this time, I met my husband who lives in Johannesburg and so I applied for community service in Gauteng.

Luckily, after 2 rounds of placements, I received my first choice which was a nation-wide courier pharmacy in Centurion. I accepted the post and moved to Gauteng from the Eastern Cape with nothing but a suitcase full of clothes. This was the best decision I had ever made because I ended up getting married and I got a permanent position at the same company after my community service was done.
